Alan began his historical journey in the Australian Film industry in the early 1960's

as Managing Director with Village Roadshow Film Distributors

where he pioneered the formation of Hexagon Productions

the first ongoing joint venture between production

and distribution in contemporary Australian Film history.

President of distribution and marketing he directed and released
over 500 successful motion pictures including, BREAKER MORANT
MAD MAX 1 2 3 - ROMPER STOMPER - THE PIANO - MURIEL'S WEDDING
FINDING NEMO - PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN - HAPPY FEET 

and pretty much any Australian movie you can think of...

He then joined Walt Disney Beuna Vista as Vice President

and is the director and Vice President of Verdict Film Group.

​

Board Chairman of the AFI / AACTA Academy Awards.

​

He received an Order of Australia OAM in 2010

for services to the Australian Film industry

and the Screen Producers Association

 highest accolade the Maura Fay Award.

Alan brings his years of experience professionalism and commitment

to the Foundation as our Executive Board Chairman Director

 and his vision is The Shaun Miller Cardiac Care Centers

in memory of all the Children who have lost their battle

and for the Children and Parents who battle everyday.
